Racks of skateboard decks produced at Empire Skateboard Manufacturing
School Skateboard Building Kits

Real skateboard manufacturing. Built for the classroom.

Give students a hands-on project built around the same materials and production steps used to make real skateboards: design, maple veneer, pressing, shaping, graphics, finishing, and a completed deck they understand from the inside out.

What Empire Supplies

Build the program around reusable equipment and refill materials.

A school does not need to repurchase the entire system every year. The practical structure is reusable molds and vacuum equipment, supported by veneer refills, blanks, consumables, and replacement components.

Veneer PacksCounted natural or dyed face, core, and crossband veneer for each student or team build.
Foam MoldsLightweight mold systems designed for classroom vacuum-bag pressing and repeat use.
Vacuum BagsReusable pressing bags sized for the mold and deck-building process.
Refills & SupportAdditional veneer, blanks, replacement equipment, and purchasing support for future classes.
Natural maple skateboard veneer used in Empire school building programs
Real Materials, Real ProcessSchool programs are built around skateboard-grade maple, reusable pressing equipment, and the same construction logic used in production decks.
School Pricing

Start with reusable pressing stations. Reorder only what your next class uses.

These classroom packages pair a practical number of reusable foam-mold + RF-welded vacuum-bag stations with enough 7-ply maple veneer for the full class. One compatible vacuum pump can service multiple quick-disconnect bags, so every student does not need a dedicated pump or pressing station.

Pilot Classroom

3Reusable pressing stations
Natural Maple$805
Dyed + Natural$870

Includes 3 foam molds, 3 reusable RF-welded vacuum bags, and 15 complete veneer sets.

Large Classroom

8Reusable pressing stations
Natural Maple$2,205
Dyed + Natural$2,455

Includes 8 foam molds, 8 reusable RF-welded vacuum bags, and 50 complete veneer sets.

Starter-system pricing: vacuum pump, adhesive, grip tape, finishing supplies, and freight are not included unless specifically quoted. The reusable stations stay with the school for future classes.
Classroom Veneer Refill Pricing

Keep the equipment. Refill the material.

Once the school owns its pressing stations, future classes can reorder pre-counted 7-ply North American hard maple veneer by class size.

What Students Are Learning

The lesson is inside the manufacturing process.

The photos below are real Empire production. They show the physical ideas students are working with: grain direction, lamination, pressure, curved geometry, machining, surface finishing, and graphics.

For Teachers & Program Leaders

Empire supplies the manufacturing side. Skateboard Classroom supports the teaching side.

The main Empire site explains the physical system: veneer, molds, vacuum bags, blanks, refills, and manufacturing support. SkateboardClassroom.com is the educator-focused companion for classroom kits, curriculum planning, purchasing, and program resources.

Options and Use Cases

Choose the version that fits the project

Clear option descriptions reduce back-and-forth and help customers request the correct product.

Middle & High Schools

Combine design, shop, art, engineering, and entrepreneurship around a finished object students recognize.

Colleges & Maker Spaces

Use the deck as a materials, CAD, manufacturing, graphics, or product-development project.

After-School Programs

Scale the equipment and veneer quantities around smaller groups and recurring sessions.

Common Questions

Before requesting pricing

What does a school need to begin?

A starter system combines reusable foam-mold and vacuum-bag pressing stations with veneer for the class. Typical packages use 3 stations for 15 students, 5 stations for 30 students, or 8 stations for 50 students; one compatible vacuum pump can service multiple quick-disconnect bags.

Can students design their own deck graphics?

Yes. Programs can include hand graphics, screen printing, transfers, vinyl, paint, or another process selected by the instructor.

Can we reorder supplies for another semester?

Yes. The reusable equipment can be supported with veneer refills, additional blanks, and replacement components.

Can Empire quote a complete classroom quantity?

Yes. Published starter pricing covers 15-, 30-, and 50-student systems, and veneer refill pricing covers 15, 30, 50, and 100 builds. Larger, recurring, or custom programs can be quoted individually.
